Students as young as three years old are accepted. Many parents have discovered that their children who practiced Taekwondo had noticeable gains in their fine motor abilities, self-esteem, respect, and general physical fitness in as little as a year.
On the contrary. The main goals of martial arts training are self-defense, discipline, and self-control. Although kids could imitate aggressive playacting toward one another in movies or on television, this kind of behavior is not encouraged in Martial Arts training. Students rapidly understand the strength of martial arts techniques and recognize the implications of putting their training to action. Your youngster will learn from the teachers at G TIGERS Taekwondo time and time again that taekwondo is a tool for self-improvement and exercise, not for bullying.
In addition to emphasizing the physical aspect of training, we also place a lot of attention on non-physical activities that foster leadership qualities, improved focus, boosted confidence, self-esteem, self-discipline, and respect for others, to mention a few!
Beyond the apparent advantages of being able to defend oneself, our adult students gain advantages such reducing tension, increasing suppleness, increased output at work, weight reduction and improved physical health.
The journey holds greater significance than the final destination. Since day one, we have treated every student as though they are pursuing Black Belt and see ourselves as a Black Belt school. The typical time to get a Black Belt is 14 to 24 months, but each person advances at their own rate, so there’s no assurance you’ll reach ‘X’ status in ‘X’ time.
Taekwondo, Mixed martial arts, Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, and Judo. Finding the right martial arts style for you can be a little tricky because there are so many different types available. To put it very simply, the main differences between the various types are in their techniques and applications, as well as in the location where each specific school of self-defense originated.
Taekwondo is indigenous to Korea, Kung Fu began in China, and Karate originated in Japan. Taekwondo is a fantastic martial art for persons who may not be particularly strong in the upper body since it places more emphasis on kicking techniques than other styles (karate, for instance, emphasizes hand blows). This is because the legs are stronger and have a wider range of motion than the arms. Furthermore, it becomes a far more aerobic workout, leading to improved physical conditioning.
G TIGERS Instructors are all World Taekwondo Federation accredited Black Belt and Master Instructors trained to make Taekwondo training entertaining, secure, and instructive. We consider a class to be good if the students are learning, grinning, and perspiring. Every day, we strive to give our students the tools they need to reach their full potential.
